At the unique Yokohama Design College students can learn a great variety of things apart from Japanese Language in an international environment. The Yokohama Design College gives students the opportunity to also learn about design, art, manga and fashion while it assists students to join a higher education institution in Japan. Moreover, this school prepares students for long-term employment in Japan. The YDC is located in Yokohama. In this area you can find many shops, restaurants, cafes, and sightseeing spots like the Minatomirai area. It has a good transportation environment so you can easily go to many places.

The three nearest stations around the YDC Tobe Station, Hiranuma Bashi Station and Takashimacho Station are located about 2 km apart from the popular Sakuragicho area.
Sakuragicho offers many shops, restaurants and bars. Besides Sakuragicho, Minatomirai with its stunning night view and the famous Red Brick Warehouse are located nearby. Furthermore, you can explore the harbor of Yokohama and Japan’s largest China Town which are just a few kilometers apart from the language school.

This course is designed for students that are currently not college students.
Students can choose to take this course for a period of 1 to 3 months and can also choose how many classes they wish to take a week. Taking 5 classes a week is recommended for all students from beginner to intermediate, while taking 3 classes a week is recommended for students who wish to take the JLPT and therefore want to focus on their grammar. For students that would like to mainly study kanji and conversation, 2 classes a week are recommended. Furthermore, this course offers open class events.
