Tokyo Communication Arts (TCA) Technical College follows three educational guidelines: Vocational Education, Human Education, and International Education. Since its founding in 1988, TCA has emphasized "academia-industry collaborative education," working closely with companies to ensure students are industry-ready upon graduation. Department Introduction

The TCA's E-Entertainment Department offers a program called "CG, Movie and Animation World" with five 3-year majors, equipping students with skills for the entertainment industry

The Game Graphic & Character Major trains students in artistic and CG skills for the game industry, focusing on character creation and game design. Students showcase their work at major events like the Tokyo Game Show.

3DCG Creators Major

Course Description

The 3DCG Creator Major is a three-year program focused on advanced 3DCG techniques for film, video, games, events, industrial design, and healthcare. The first two years cover foundational skills in drawing, digital design, and 3DCG production, while the third year focuses on planning, directing, and producing visual content.

 

The curriculum includes training in software like Maya, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and ZBrush, as well as opportunities for overseas study, industry seminars, internships, and English conversation. Graduates can pursue careers as CG designers, animators, VFX creators, and more, with options to obtain certifications such as CG Certification Level 1-3 and Colorist Certification Level 2-3.

Video & Picture Creators Major
